Freedom to better my practice
Meet Zaynah Ali, Emotional Wellbeing Therapist.
Tell us about the team you work in?
The nicest bunch of people, the team is incredibly helpful and supportive. I lost my mother last month and the support I have received has been the best, particularly from my supervisor and line manager. Working within mental health is incredibly rewarding and something personal to me. I have also found that during my short time here I am already progressing as a therapist through my 1:1 supervision.
Why did you choose to work at Nuffield Health?
There seems to be more scope to progress within private sector and the company values and ethos are in line with mine.
What’s your favourite thing about working at Nuffield Health?
There is more freedom particularly with treatment sessions which in turns allows me to better my practise.
What is your career highlight so far?
Anytime a client goes into recovery during treatment with me as I know how much commitment therapy can be. Nuffield Health has also helped me grow in confidence which has in turn helped me in delivering mental health workshops outside of work to the Muslim community where there still seems to be quite a lot of mental health related stigma.
