Making a difference
Meet Rebecca Killington, Multi-Site Customer Experience Manager at Romford and Chigwell Fitness & Wellbeing Centres.
Tell us about your career progression at Nuffield Health?
I started in Romford, in May 2023 as an Operations Manager and became a Multi-Site Customer Experience Manager of Romford and Chigwell, in January 2024
Tell us about the team you work in?
Working across two sites, means I have over 160 colleagues, this brings a new challenge however, is one of the most enjoyable parts of my role as no two days are the same, saying that, no two clubs are the same, which certainly keeps me on my toes. I work with people of all ages, of all backgrounds and that is something I love, I love seeing people take their first job at Nuffield Health and seeing them thrive, and grow, this is one of the parts of this I love the most. I work with like minded, people, all with one common goal, which creates a healthly, and competitive working environment which definitely challenges me and benefits my development in the long run.
Why have you stayed at Nuffield Health?
I have a great relationship with my co-workers who see progression and opportunities in my future, that I sometimes don’t see myself. Working with people who care and have your interests at heart makes a real difference. The flexibility of the industry, and being able to work from two locations helps, being a full time, working mum!
What’s your favourite thing about working at Nuffield Health?
The difference we make to peoples lives. I love the industry and the people you meet, but it’s the community work we do that sets us apart from out competitors and it feels great to be able to be a part of something that genuinely enriches and changes lives.
What is your career highlight/s?
I’d like to think I am still very early on in my Nuffield Health career, but being a part of the Culture Workshop delivery programme has been great, and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. Seeing Romford achieve 98% in out 2023 audit and Chigwell going from bottom of the league table to the top is up there too!
Would you recommend someone to join Nuffield Health?
I would. I genuenly believe you get out what you put in, so for anyone hard working, who wants to make a difference, and isn’t scared of being hands on, I would.
Do you use any of the employee benefits?
I utilise the gym membership for me and my daughter, which also allows me use of the Creche. I have signed up to the private health care, which is a fantastic benefit but fortunately haven’t had to make use of it yet. I also managed to go to see the Lionesses play, and sat three rows from the front, free of charge due to our affiliation with the FA!
